Gino Vannelli sings : "Parole Per Mio Padre" in a way that goes beyond SUPERB !!!! 
(1:) Vatican City 16 December 2000 , Nervi Hall. I'm Bruno ,and with three friends of mine from Palmi were in Vatican to see Gino . I , Maurice and Mimi were in a distant row from stage ,The Nervi Hall is very very large and the acoustic bad for the concert, we enjoy better the Gino Performance on TV the 24# December. More lucky was Antonio in third row , that get the pictures of GINO & BRYAN ADAMS handshake and all the Singer at the end of the Show. When Gino Come out to Sing , Antonio call .. GINO !! YOU ARE THE BEST !!! and GINO ...Smile to Him. You Can Imagine... all The serious Cardinal in First Row and Antonio Stand Up to Call ... GINOOO .. YOU A...!!! After the Show we met Gino, Patricia, Anton and Lan Doky's Family and spend with them a few minutes to talk. Unfortunately we had not the access to the GALA and so we gave the Best Merry Christmas and Happy New Year wishes and leave the Nervi Hall happy to have seen GINO again , after the FANTASTIC GINO CONCERT of this summer in Italy.
We are very very enthusiastic about ..Parole per Mio Padre ...The Music !!! The Voice !!! is Very Very deep Emotional !!!
Gino is Verdi, Cilea, Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven... togheter, plus plus THE VOICE !!
We are waiting anxiously (LIKE you, we hope, Gino Fan and Really Music lovers !!) the Lan Doky' CD and when come
out and The Magistral GINO's " THE FOOL" Opera and..........

(2:)The Vatican gig was fantastic !!! The hall was a big hall inside the Vatican with approx. 7000 people in the audience, and the orchestra and conductor was phenomenal. Both Gino and I were very happy with them. Our performance went great, although we were nervous about the fact that Gino had caught a cold and was afraid that his voice wouldn't be in shape for the performance. But a doctor came and took care of him in the afternoon, and the concert went really well. Gino sang really great and the feedback was wonderful. We were also very fortunate that Gino's brother Joe and his wife had come along too, because Joe ended up doing the sound for our TV recording, which was a big help. There were many stars on the concert, including Dionne Warwick, Randy Crawford, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Bryan Adams and many more. It was a quite big and exciting show. We also met the Pope in person the day before the concert, which was quite an honour. Up close, the Pope seemed quite altert despite his old age, and I found his handshake and his eyes to be quite warm, intense and loving. My wife and kids even got to meet him too. As I told Gino, I think that it is a great blessing for the song "Parole Per Mio Padre" to be launched in such a special way, at the Vatican in Rome, after a few "warm-up" performances in Roosendaal and Montréal shortly before. We were there for several days because of rehearsals etc, and as usual, the food and wine in Rome was incredible. -NIELS LAN DOKY-
(3:)What a great thing!!!! Yess, i went to Rome with Serena and Philip Morris gave us two front tickets for the concert!!! I wasn't able to shake hands with Gino, as usual he did a wonderful job, the lyrics that Pino Daniele wrote for him are simply out of this world, touching and very appropriate for a song like that.... Marco and Serena, Italy.
A VERY BIG COMPLIMENT FOR GINO VANNELLI and NIELS LAN DOKY !!!
We are very predictable, we know it, but this performance of GINO is just incredible, Gino walked on stage after Brian Adams and geeeezzz what a difference !!! Gino Vannelli walks on stage with a BIG smile towards the Conductor and we can see his lips say: "Maestro" and than..... Gino's way of letting the Conductor know he is ready.............. In the beginning we see some emotions in Gino's eyes which scared us a little bit, but than he gets in the right mood and spirit and.....WOW !!! We both got real and lots of goose-bumps all over our bodies. The fruits of Gino's experiences in music and again GINO shows HE is the Master of MUSIC !!! The Lady host speaks only Italian, we only recognized the names of Pino Daniel, Niels Lan Doky and GINO VANNELLI and the title of the song : "Parole Per Mio Padre".
There is a very BIG orchestra and we could understand a little bit the Lady said and we think that the Musicians came from different cities in Italy, like Turin, Rome and she called the Orchestra the Italian Symphonic Orchestra. And the conductor's name is : Renato Serio. The stage was huge and the hall was very, very BIG with a lot of people in the audience and the first row was seated by Men from the Church like Cardinals and Priests, the Pope was not in the audience, we bet the Pope was sitting in front of a TV relaxing and enjoying this Christmas show and especially the live performance of GINO VANNELLI !! And we think.........
