This is quite a departure from Canto but I like it and I know I will like it even more as I hear it more often (because I NEVER NEVER get tired of his music!) . Gino Vannelli fans are so lucky that he is not afraid to do so many different styles of music and do them all so masterfully!!!!! The variety makes it even better.

It's definitely catchy but hearing 'It's Only Love' once is not enough to commit it to memory or even catch the "nuances" and other things which usually make you love a song, so this is really not a fair "evaluation" of it. I hope that other radio and internet stations will be adding this new song to their playlist and I know the new CD will be worth the wait!!!!

for the past few days. Lee played it early in the morning but I fell asleep before it aired. Then Ingrid the DJ emailed me this morning to let me know that it may be played later but she was going to play Wild Horses.
I just heard it and it was dedicated to Fabio from Italy!!

1 December 2005 : The Release date of Gino Vannelli's new album : "These Are The Days" is postponed from 17 January 2006 to 24 January 2006, yes we have to be more patient again for a week longer but we all know the longer we wait the better the new music !!! Gino Vannelli's music !!!
The reasons are political... There will be an unplanned election that day of the 17th of January 2006 brought about by a political parlimentary procedure that occured last night in Canada. So Gino Vannelli's new album : "These Are The days" will be released 24 January 2006 during this big tour in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. Read the Gino Vannelli tour data and information web page for and about these 15 live concerts and maybe more to come in the new year of 2006. We made the links to the venues and it's easy for you to order the tickets and have some great pre-fun !!! - 28 June 2005 : Gino Vannelli signed a record deal at Universal International. A best of... project ends up with 7 New Gino Vannelli musical works of art. Universal asked Gino to write 1 or 2 new songs for a best of album but after months and months of writing, composing, waiting and listening... Universal had this idea of 7 new Gino Vannelli songs and 7 old re-mastered Gino Vannelli songs, in the meantime Gino created about 35 good songs while Gino was waiting and dwelling in the mainstream of
thought-processes and living in the language of pop music.
- The struggle of a perfectionist : More than a year of 14 hours a day hard and difficult work, very stressful and demanding, Gino Vannelli is very hard to Himself and only wants the best results for the music lovers on this planet. A few live gigs in between the process of creating music and lyrics with a BIG portion of jetlag... Difficult times for Gino and let's not forget His Family who supports Him and His life's work all the way, also the deep dark way !!! Patricia and Anton are Gino's push in the right way to always follow His heart and His feelings and they will not allow Him to do anything He really does not want to do... That's richness in love and support.

- The voice, the big black grand-piano, the talents, David Goldblatt, the backing vocals, Rok Golob, The recordings, the musical instruments, the programming, the computers, the sounds, the technical things, the mixing, the coffee and Gino's engineer Nick Moon... Mix this all together and the result is a WORK OF ART. GINO DOES A LOT OF WORK HIMSELF THOUGH BUT THAT IS WHAT A CONTROL FREAK DOES ISN'T IT ???
 In one of the new songs Gino plays the guitar in a way that will touch many hearts... The Master's musical ways are highly gifted and genius again. Gino feels that this new album was the most difficult album to create and shows us how it sounds and feels live on stage... WOW !!! Goose-bumps !!! Hard to keep the tears behind the eyes and at the same time we get flashes through our minds about people complaining that they have to pay 15 or 20 Dollars or Euro's for an original cd... how weird can things get ???
- Gino speaks very highly and respectful about Lisa Hart who did a lot of backing vocals... Gino said : " She is good, really GOOD !!!" Working together with Rok from Slovenia who plays the violin and the piano and who has many more musical talents gave Gino good but mixed feelings.
- 15 September 2005 : The new radio single : IT'S ONLY LOVE arrives at the Toronto and Montreal radio stations and is well received even in the north of America people can listen to Gino Vannelli's : IT'S ONLY LOVE... I COULD LEARN TO LIVE WITHOUT IT... WOW that swings and the sounds are incredible, one reaction of a person who heard IT'S ONLY LOVE on the radio :
" The rockin' Gino of yesterday is back! While we all loved the "CANTO" album, "THIS" new one is the reason why we all fell in love with Gino so long ago! ".........
- 26 September 2005 the mastering of the new album starts and Gino Vannelli keeps on working on all the 7 new songs, The music plays and plays in His head over and over again. Even IT'S ONLY LOVE gets a new touch by this genius... so on the album there will be a perfect version of IT'S ONLY LOVE... Gino did not make the deadline and the Universal torture equipment was ready to be used to force Gino to end this process of perfectionism, so we do not really know if the mastering is finished by now and if or when the presses are rolling... Gino Vannelli cannot let go... Some artists are special tender people and gentle giants in their musical lives but this process of giving life to a new album is very deep, too deep. We are sure that the results will satisfy Gino one day, one day in the future. WE ARE TOTALLY SATISFIED BY THIS NEW MASTERPIECE AND WE HAVE AGAIN MORE AND MORE RESPECT AND ADMIRATION FOR THE PASSIONATE WORK OF THE MASTER OF MUSIC !!! THERE IS NO ENDING IN GINO VANNELLI'S DEDICATION AND DEVOTION TO MUSIC !!! GINO VANNELLI GOES ON FOREVER !!!
