JUST OUR FIRST REACTION :
Gino Vannelli the Master with a voice in top shape filled with genuine passion, a song so beautiful and so one with Gino Vannelli's voice !! BIG goose-bumps and our hearts turned around twice when we heard this song for the very first time, at Tuesday 22 April 2003. A super treat to listen to... and Gino Vannelli sings as beautiful as the Nightingale sings !!! A Nightingale starts singing in the twilight and creates songs so lovely and impressive and has the biggest repertory like the Master of Music : Gino Vannelli !!! THE VOICE WE LOVE !!! When Gino starts singing these words : " And yesssssss, I am not the idle dreamer of my youth..." His voice really gets to you in a BIG way. Again we are impressed and addicted to this new Gino Vannelli song : The Song of The Nightingale and the lyrics are super good and grabbed from real life !!!

CDJapan dot com did a real good job, they packed the cd in a super good way for overseas shipment. This cd was released the 16 th of april 2003 and it arrived already in Holland Friday the 18th 2003, we found a note dated 18 april 2003 in our mail box that there was a registed package for us at the postoffice but it was Easter and everything was closed so we only could collect it today Tuesday the 22th of April 2003. I bought "Sincerely 2 Mariya Takeuchi Song Book" CD yesterday!! Yeeees! It's real Gino Vannelli, and his voice is so great! The lyric is wonderful and he made perfect world in the music!!

To tell the truth, I did't know about this project until I visit your web site. (How shame on me!!)

Mariya Takeuchi is a middle-aged female pop star and she is wife a of Tetsuro Yamashita. You know, once Gino had covered Tetsuro's song; "The Christmas Eve"!!

I received the wonderful Sincerely cd last nite and listened to
* The Song of the Nightengale * on the way into work this morning.

Nothing on this cd compares to GINO's track. It simply took my breath away - the lyrics are so beautiful. GINO's singing style in this song is reminiscent of Mandy Patinkin's and is excellent as always also. Dutch : Beste Barend & Trees, Dinsdag 22 april gelijk via jullie link met japan de cd besteld, vrijdag 25 april om +/- 18.00u (we zaten net aan de spruitjes) stopt er een grote vrachtwagen voor de de deur........met de cd uit japan. We zijn maar gestopt met eten en hebben "'song of the nightingale ongeveer 20 keer gedraaid. MIJN GOD, WAT EEN GEWELDIG NUMMER . Het lijkt wel of hij steeds beter wordt en wat julli zeiden bij het refrein" AND YES I AM NOT THE IDLE DREAMER OF MY YOUTH.....we zaten elkaar met ongeloof aan te kijken, kippevel, pure emotie, we zaten allebij met tranen in onze ogen Ik kan er geen woorden meer voor vinden wat die jongen de laatste tijd bij ons teweeg brengt, die stem wordt maar beter en beter. English : Dear Barend & Trees, On Tuesday the 22nd of April 2003 we immediately ordered thru your link this Japanese cd, Friday the 25th of April about 6pm (we were just eating our brussels sprouts!) a big truck stopped in front of our home......... yesssss with the cd from Japan. We stopped eating and we played The Song Of the Nightingale about 20 times. OH MY GOD, WHAT A FANTASTIC SONG. It seems that He gets better and better and more better and what you guys said about the chorus :
"AND YES I AM NOT THE IDLE DREAMER OF MY YOUTH....." We looked to eachother in big unbelief, goose-bumps, chicken-flesh, pure emotion, and we both were sitting there with tears in our eyes. I just cannot find any words how this boy influences our lives at the moment and last times.
That voice gets better and better. Maybe it is an age thing, I mean that you become older and wiser (huh ? wiser ??) Maybe you have to be wiser to understand this all and it has also something to do that I was able to stand next to Gino and I have to think about this weekend in Copenhagen all the time and still get goose-bumps, (I looke like an old whining lady hahahaha.)

Hi, I bought the CD "Sincerely." Gino amazes me again. Just when you thought it isn't possible, again he does it. What a great song. What a voice. I've been listening to it on my way to work and on the way home. I received it this past Saturday. I have #8 on repeat so I haven't heard any of the other songs on the CD, and doubt I ever will!
