This footprints story really happened and it can only happen in Holland or some people say the Netherlands........... And we speak about the footprints of the Master of Music : Gino Vannelli !!! Anyways Gino sits there with naked feet, yesssss naked feet !!! We could not believe what we saw, what was happening ??? Gino had to put His feet into the concrete so Gino's footprints can make history. The
concrete dirt flows between Gino's toes and Gino does not get a towel or something to clean and dry His feet, Gino had to ask for a towel HIMSELF !!! And at last he could get his white shoes on again !!! and walk on stage to sing : INCONSOLABLE MAN !!!
So next day we went to Scheveningen and searched for the original star boulevard and meet world famous stars.......... My, oh my, and yesssssss we touched Gino Vannelli's footprints, it looked like we cleaned the tile but hey we are fans we can touch it if we want. We were happy we did not bring tools with us to steal the tile out of the ground (LOL!!!) So we visited the star boulevard many times like real tourists. And the most beautiful thing was that Gino's name plate was clean and clear and Vannelli was with 2 "NN" !!!
One day we visited Scheveningen again and my, oh my, a BIG shock !!!
Gino Vannelli's footprints were gone !!!!!!!!! ???????????? the whole star boulevard was gone !!!!!!! ?????????? PANIC !!!!!!

Here we go with part 2 of the Gino Vannelli footprints:
My, oh my, we are in shock, suddenly Gino Vannelli's footprints are gone... Totally gone and disappeared ??? The whole star boulevard was gone out off Scheveningen ??? No matter what, we are going to find these footprints for sure...
So we did... And we did get some help, unexpected help from a journalist, yessssss really !!! The Journalist's mission, almost impossible mission, was to find the tile of Gino Vannelli's footprints and also the whole star boulevard.
We were happy with her help because she knows more ways to walk and ask than we and she has much more relations and connections in the world of the media, the government, council and the local authority people. We searched, phoned and asked around and also our journalist worked around the clock to find some information. Sony told us to phone the council of the city of The Hague and also the city of Rotterdam, because Rotterdam had big plans for a star boulevard in down town Rotterdam (Leuvehaven). The boulevard of Scheveningen will be re-built and re-designed without the star-boulevard... BoooooWoooo to the council of the Hague and Scheveningen and they dumped the tiles in some city warehouse... But thank God, we can give a BIG compliment to Rotterdam and to the Dutch "Walk of Fame" foundation who took care of the Sony tiles and welcomed all tiles from the star boulevard in Scheveningen to Rotterdam. That's great !!! That should be something special, Gino's footprints so close by our hometown... WOW !!!
And the journalist was very lucky after a few weeks...
We try to remember how we met this journalist ????
We e-mailed, phoned, wrote letters to all radio and tv stations in the West of Holland and especially the local media of Rotterdam and the Hague... And this interested journalist worked for TV and radio West in the Hague.
And one day our phone ringed and she said that she found Gino Vannelli's tile with His foot prints !!! WOW !!! She is good, very good !!!
She said that she even visited a construction warehouse of the City of Rotterdam after she got permission of the local authority people and looked for the tiles herself.
And yes the tiles were stored there and undamaged. The star boulevard tiles were sold to another foundation and Sony was not the sponsor anymore... She found out that they were building a star boulevard in down town Rotterdam and that Scheveningen was out of the question. Gino Vannelli's foot prints will also be placed in down town Rotterdam between the other national and international stars there at the Schiedamsedijk... And the star boulevard will be officially opened by Johnny Grant,
Mayor of Hollywood,
and Chairman of the
Hollywood Walk of Fame...
the most famous movies and stars city on this planet.
The journalist told us that we were invited at the opening because we moved the whole matter to the top of people's attention and people took action and worked more and harder to get this Dutch walk of fame ready in time and yessssssss they did !!!
In the mean time many Gino Vannelli fans from all over this world visited this spot of joy to feel the spirit of Gino Vannelli's feet !!!

Hi, Visitor's of the North Sea Jazz Festival 2007 in Rotterdam also visited Gino Vannelli's footprints in Rotterdam. The weekend of 13-14-15 July 2007 and on Saterday the 14th of July 2007 Gino Vannelli's music and voice filled the Rotterdam air and the hearts of the music lovers...

One day in 1990 we are watching a pop tv program because Gino Vannelli is in our
country somewhere and somehow, so we need to watch all the major music shows.
And yes guess who is coming in this tv show called pop-formule or something like that ??? Yessssss Gino Vannelli !!! Gino will sing INCONSOLABLE MAN but first the TV host Martijn Krabbé
interviews Gino with some real stupid questions and Gino is very sharp and shows this special look in His eyes.....
