We are receiving reports that the Haitek Haiku album has been fairly visible
and well received in France since the release July 10.
On Amazon.fr , the visitors can post their comments in French to the album,
and albums that get postive comments get a higher visibility according to
some kind of star system. Supposedly the same applies in English to the
amazon.com site.
We encourage you and other Gino fans to write in to amazon with your positive
comments, and would greatly appreciate your help.
Niels sends you his warmest regards ! Everyone is just back from vacation ,
back at work, record labels, promoters etc, and hopefully new haitek haiku
tour plans will develop soon. We'll keep you posted as soon as something
develops.

The concert went amazingly well ! Gino was in top shape and was incredible,
despite short sound check and other technical challenges....The band sounded
just great, and especially Thanh Lam surpassed herself and delivered a real
magic performance. It was a big succes.

will NOT happen.
The record company (Universal) want to postpone it to the Fall. Sorry it

Dear Barend, Trees,
The concerts are now confirmed: July 7 (Copenhagen) and July 9 (Paris).
I expect that tickets will be on sale in Paris starting tommorrow, I asume
via the regular outlets, but will let you know when I have further info. The
venue in Paris (La Cigale) is a very nice older (& historic) venue in Paris.
Should be a very nice concert. Universal-France are releasing the haitek
haiku album in France the next day (July 10).

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER FOR CHRISTINA UNDJEM
Niels Lan Doky is the executive producer of a new (very major, very ambitious and US-based) pop album project for Christina Undjem.
Christina appeared on the haitek haiku album (on the track "The Right to remain Silent") and their personal chemistry in the studio was so good that Universal subsequently asked Niels to be her executive producer.
Besides supervising the overall production Niels is also involved as a writer, producer and performer on part of the production (which features many US pop icons such as Richard Marx, Diane Warren, Peabo Bryson and many others, including of course my close associate Gino Vannelli again also).All the best,

now confirmed the French release of the haitek haiku album (July 10) and also
the UK release (end of May).
Other news is that the album is #1 this month on Nick the Nightfly's radio

Many thanks for this , and thanks for your patience.
Please go ahead and post any information that you want on your website
concerning the haitek haiku album release. You may want to post the
following info too, to make it all clear to all Gino fans:
Universal Denmark have just told me that March 19 (yesterday) remains the
official international release date. However, this only means that the album
is available in Universal's central international stocks. From that point on,
it is up to each individual Universal office in each country, as to exactly
when they want to release it. I was hoping that as many countries as possible
would release at the same time, but realistically I expect some delays in
some countries. However, record buyers should in theory be able to order the
album from any record store by providing the title and catalogue number. In
addition, we are currently in the process of arranging online sale of the
album via my website. I hope that this will be up an running by next week.

Dear Barend & Trees:
Greetings ! I hope that you are well !
Further to our last correspondance, I have now (just today) spoken with
Universal, and
they have said it's OK for to you announce the following information on your
Gino site:
The release of my new album "HaiTek Haiku"
Sub-title : ......(...."see the world as a plum...")
is currently tentatively scheduled for release by Universal on February 28,
2001 ........ Delayed to 19 March 2001......... (although we don't yet know if it will be available at the same time in
all territories). The album is produced by Gino Vannelli who also sings on 3 vocal
tracks (- totally breathtaking performances !!!!)
(Wait till you hear this
!!!!!!!!). It is a MAJOR project that Gino and I have worked on and off
(mostly on) for the past 7 months, and we just finished. We both poured our
entire hearts and souls into the project and we are both incredibly proud of
it.
It is a very extensive, elaborate and detailed project, and Universal and I
need time to think about how to structure a unified written presentation
about the project, before we can release any further details and information.
However, Universal has assured me that you and all other Gino fans will be
among the very first to know as soon as more information becomes available
for release.
Also, within the next few months, we will update my website to
fully refflect the new album. As soon as this update has been completed, we
will immediately let you know and we suggest a direct link from your page to
ours (and vice-versa).

The very emotional Italian song, about Gino's complicated releationship with His Father :
" Parolae Per Mio Padre " will be on this album too!! Gino wrote this story in English and an Italian Poet / lyrics writer called Pino Daniele received very detailed instructions from Gino and wrote the Italian lyrics. Two more songs on which we can hear and admire Gino Vannelli again and we bet Niels Lan Doky will surprise and amaze us too with fantastic music !!! We are not sure in how many songs Gino will sing, but we will let you know as soon as we get the right information.
We have to wait for this new album till the beginning of 2001 and that's not too far away anymore !!! So the year 2001 will start out very well again with more GOOD MUSIC !!!!
