Paris 16 November 1995, the fans really had a chance to really talk to GINO or ask Him serious questions.
Trees thought no GUTS no GLORY and asked GINO the question which was running in
her head for months.

We heard the WALTER WHITMAN WHERE ARE YOU song for the very first time and it grabbed
us immediately.
We tried to find out who Walter Whitman was and we searched in the Writer's department from England and the USA in the library but they had no BOOKS of Walter Whitman, we could not understand this because we thought that Walter Whitman must have been a BIG person.
So we decided to write to a famous Dutch Writer and TV host Boudewijn Büch,
IF SOMEBODY knows this it is Boudewijn Büch !!
We wrote a letter and explained about the GINO VANNELLI song and told Boudewijn
the lyrics of this song.
A few weeks later we got a stupid letter back from the people of His office and they wrote us that they did not know Walter Whitman, and they thought it was an English writer. They thought ??
Just a wild guess!!
Ever had such a stupid letter?? We could not understand this letter from that so called high educated people ??
It should have been wise to ask Boudewijn Büch when he came in but instead of waiting for him they wrote a stupid useless letter back to us.
We are not high educated people and we live a simple life
but this letter made us really laugh in a bad way.
We went to big book store and could not find books of Walter Whitman and one day we suddenly saw on TV in a movie the Walt Whitman Library and now we knew for sure he was a Writer from the USA.
Than the great day of 16 november 1995 came and Trees could ask Gino Himself.
Gino told us Walt Whitman was a BIG Poet and a very good Poet in the USA and that we had to read His book : LEAVES OF GRASS.
A week or so later a Friend of ours found the LEAVES OF GRASS book and bought it for us, we struggled through the book because it is in English and we read it line by line so we could understand a little bit more the meaning of GINO VANNELLI's song :
