27 November 2007 GINO VANNELLI DUO-concert, a second poetry jazzslam in the St. Aegtenkapel in Amersfoort, Holland. This was a benefit concert for a project called: "Serving the children of the World".
Groetjes, Ben English/Engels: An e-mail from Ben Q in the Netherlands dated 28 November 2007 with the subject: Gino Hi Barend and Trees, so nice to meet you two again yesterday evening. It was very cosy. I tried to get on a picture with Gino but I did not dare to ask. We had to make up for the bad picture in Groningen (remember?) and at that moment the batteries of Barend's camera were empty too. I attach some self-made pictures from yesterday evening. You can do whatever you want with my pictures. By the way, How nice to meet Donja. Greetings, Ben as Ben in Bolland from the auctions...
English/Engels: An e-mail from Wil and Rob in Utrecht, Holland dated 28 November 2007 with the subject: Enjoying in the Aegtenkapel (chapel) Hi Barend and Trees, 27 November in the Aegtenkapel was again a wonderful day with a golden evening... Again a performance of Gino together with Michiel, lucky us, over and over again... We did not count on it anymore for this year, The luck we have and get !!! In spite of the very busy traffic we still arrived in Amersfoort very early as usual. (We do not want to miss anything) to fill in the time we went to a small café in the neighbourhood for drinks and after that we went to the Aegtenchapel where we saw the usual well-known faces of the other Gino Vannelli fans (Very cosy!) And also top to see you two again Barend and Trees !!! Thank God, we were allowed to go inside the chapel soon and find again a beautiful front row seat (It seems to become our permanent standard seats ha.ha...) Not much lateron Gino came, first alone to let us listen to some of His poetry. Than He went behind the grand-piano and sang that beautiful song about a young man who died in the war of Afghanistan... After this Michiel came on and it's still amazing how he plays the grand-piano especially when you have seats so very close by, you are right in the middle of it all. However time races by, too fast for sure and after more beautiful poems and songs the end of the show was there, such a pity! When Gino and Michiel left the chapel surrounded by a big aplausse I got very unexpected a warm genuine hand shake from Gino... Wow, how could it end more beautiful than this ? And after the concert gino and Michiel took time for the fans again, this feels very special more and more!!! Gino and Michiel we thank you again for this great evening, and we hope that more will follow... Barend and Trees good luck with the site and all the other wonderful things life gives to you and offers you two... Love, Rob and wil.

Barend en Trees, English/Engels: A second e-mail from Kjeld in Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands dated 29 November 2007 with the subject: RE: Dear Gino Vannelli fans,
Good afternoon from Hellevoetsluis Barend and Trees, An e-mail from Donja and Carlos from Capelle aan den IJssel in Holland dated 4 December 2007 with the subject: Gino en Michiel in Amersfoort 27-11-2007
Again a Gino and Michiel duoconcert ! We were lucky that there was no traffic jam, so we arrived on time. On the way to the toilet we saw Barend. We always see Barend at first. A few minutes later Trees, who was busy with Gino. Barend said we can go upstairs. It was different as in May, then we have to run for a good seat. Now we could easily take a seat on the front row, beside the hardcore fans. Then Gino came in, while he was eating a chocolate. He ask if his mouth was clean so he can start haha. He told us the tragedy of a young soldier he has known and died for his country. He began to play the song None So Beatiful As The Brave. This song , he had also sung at the funeral of the young soldier…..
Wel, it didn’t hurt at all, it was GREAT It seemed like we were in somebody’s livingroom GEZELLIG! (Gino, you know this Dutch word…..) Michiel let his hair down on the Piano Wow! Gino read also a few of his poems. I heard a new one: Walking The Dutch Beat!
I asked Gino of he is often in Holland too, next year after the cd is finished. He assured that a lot of things are going to happen next year…..That is good news! After a little while Gino left with you two(B&T). We stayed a while with some other fans. Later on we had a little chat with Michiel and made a few pictures. And then we also had to go. It was again a great evening. The vitamins for our soul we needed once in a while so badly! Thanks Gino and Michiel and also Barend and Trees.
When I am writing this, you fellows B&T are in Paris with Gino and Michiel.
