The great Gino Vannelli left Holland today to go to his loving Family again to celebrate Thanksgiving Day together. Gino Vannelli made our hearts pump again in a wild, very wild way... and Gino let us feel the energy of His powerful voice and music in a super strong way !!!

Trees immediately recognized HIS voice ofcourse and looked at Barend with this face of Gino is on the phone. GINOOOOOOO, GINOOOOO VANNELLI !!!
How is it possible that the Master Himself has to tell His fans this news, Gino knows we put it on the web site immediately so fans can read this news and know about this somehow...
So our first chance was Friday morning (almost afternoon) to put this news on-line and we know some of the fans are so mad that we did not tell this news sooner but the simple fact is we did not know the details and nobody took the time to tell us in time except for the Master of Music Himself, yes Himself !!!
After we recovered from Gino's phonecall, Friday 18 November 2005 came and we worked on our Gino Vannelli web pages to get the news on-line so people could at least read this Gino Vannelli news... People only had to visit our Gino Vannelli web site, read this news on different pages and take action if they wanted to see and hear Gino on tv or radio or maybe live during the shows...
Thank God some of the fans read this news on our Gino Vannelli web pages and we actually met these fans on Friday and Saterday... The internet is the most fastest way to get news around and we know people visit our Gino Vannelli web pages every day, YES really everyday, amazing isn't it ??? Anyways it worked alright for some people.
So the Barend and van Dorp show on the Talpa tv channel.
That Friday evening we went to the studio of Talpa in Hilversum and the People of Talpa received us very gracious because we were listed as guests, YES guests of Gino Vannelli !!! US ??? Wow !!! What a big honour !!! And when Gino walked in the Talpa building with His limousine driver, He came straight to us both and hugged and kissed us so genuine and made us feel so welcome. The Talpa people must have thought that Gino was our Brother or some kind of Family-member...
A lady called Karin and a young man called Mike who were the hostesses spoiled us rotten with attention and with drinks etc.... They were very busy but still very sweet for us both, we did not really fit in with the kind of people who were there at that moment...
Hot shots everywhere, famous Dutch people, stars, a model, and 3 comedians called :
When all the important people were together in the guestroom, talking drinking coffee or wine or whatever, suddenly we heard the name Trees in the Room... The Lady of the record company yelled :
We went to the empty studio and Gino gave us a place to sit and said to us both make yourselves comfortable... The music exploded, we love to listen to every second, every minute every tune of Gino Vannelli's music and it's always so intense when you are right in the middle of the music, the music crawls with force into your body, heart and soul. They shot a 30 seconds flash of "Brother To Brother" as an intro for the show...
It was nice to see and hear how this tv thing works... They also did a rehearsal for the camera's. The time went so fast and the show started, Gino had to perform around 23.10 so the waiting started...
We did not go into the audience because we did not want our ugly old faces on tv so we watched tv in the guestroom, great to see Gino on the tv screen and hear the real sound so close by with only a wall in between... They talked about commercials with the model and there was the bridge to the hot commercial topic in Holland with Gino Vannelli's song : "People Gotta Move" and the studio exploded with superb music, Gino Vannelli's music !!! Very impressive performance...
After the show there were the drinks ofcourse and Gino talked with some fans who were in the audience of the show... Barend helped the band with their instruments and they could only make noice in the commercials because there was already another show going on in that same studio... Trees collected Gino's bags and stuff and walked with Him to the limousine said goodbye and made an appointment for the next day, yesssss one day is not enough !!!
We both helped the bandmembers and after all the hard work : time for a drink... Another limousine driver started talking to us because he recognized us from other Gino Vannelli concerts when he, himself, was Gino's limousine driver... Very nice talk with that kind man, he had to drive other stars now....... What a job !!!
We came home in the middle of the night and we had to prepare for the next day in Amsterdam...
Amsterdam, Saterday 19 November 2005 : We went with Gino to the Music Café, a very nice venue again with friendly people, the musicians were already building up the stage with the instruments and the technical stuff... Gino's soundcheck was first and the other artists came on for the soundcheck later. Everybody was very excited that Gino Vannelli was there !!! The coffee was hot but the café was very cold bad for Gino's body and voice... Gino could wait in a warmer room.
We were very surprised to see Peter Tiehuis walking in, the guitar-player from the Metropole Orchestra, he played with the band this Saterdayafternoon especially in "Brother To Brother". Wow !!!
The soundcheck went well, very well and "Brother to Brother" was amazing again and "People Gotta Move" was wild !!!
The record company man had Gino's new cd in his hand, yesss really, we were so close... But he gave Gino's new cd to the DJ Daniël Dekker with the permission to play "Venus Envy" on the radio right after Gino's live performance of "Brother To Brother" and "People Gotta Move"... The DJ played Gino's brand new song and people listened with open mouths, the sounds were incredible and we think that "Venus" is such a good song in this time of plastic women everywhere, sometimes it's so funny and the lyrics are so true. The organ sounds and Gino's voice feel like so much musical satisfaction in one song and we are already sure that we can listen to this song 50 million times without being bored... WOW !!! Again a Gino Vannelli masterpiece... with the Gino Vannelli style and quality and it does not matter if it is pop - jazz - country or clasical music GINO VANNELLI creates art in every sound.
As soon as "Venus" ended on the radio the record company man took the cd back from the DJ and kept it in his hands again. We watched this man with that cd but he could hide it very well, it was almost scary...........
The audience was totally wild during Gino Vannelli's live performance and all the artists who also performed in this radio show were in the audience to see and hear Gino because the name Gino Vannelli finds a lot of respect among all musicians.
Gino felt very good and happy !!! Good to see His happy eyes... Time for the fans, glossy eyes, pictures, signatures, humour, smiles and fun... Great afternoon but time to go now... Dinner with record company people, musicians and fans... WHAT A LIFE !!!
The next day, Sunday 20 november 2005 Gino had more interviews and they collected Him from his hotel and brought him back again... We were there again Sunday evening and Gino took the time again to sign more Gino Vannelli goodies for the auctions. Treasures which are donated by Sharon in Canada and by Jacques in France and Terry in the USA and a few of our own Gino Vannelli goodies......... So we can start the Gino Vannelli auctions soon again. We could say goodbye in a very relaxed way and Gino went back to the USA on Monday, back to His home, Wife and Family the 3 things in life HE loves deep, very deep !!!

The DJ Daniel Dekker talks and talks about the live performance of Gino Vannelli in the Tros music café. He is very impressed by Gino’s performance of BROTHER TO BROTHER and PEOPLE GOTTA MOVE............. The DJ is really impressed and still excited about Gino's live performance, music and voice. So good to hear. All kinds of great e-mails came in at radio 2
How nice to hear all those comments on the radio.
Than the woman of the ANWB who tells the traffic jams and traffic information on the radio
comes in and Daniel Dekker the DJ asks if she heard Gino Vannelli in the Music Café, the ANWB is the company of the commercials with "People Gotta Move..." So a weekend to remember, a Gino Vannelli weekend !!!

Excuse us for the delay.... Gino did only 3 songs ('Brother to Brother', 'Canto', 'People Gotta move') because it was a voluntary concert with others artits , but it was extraordinary !
